Does a kugelfischer from a Capri fit a M30 engine?

Hi.

Well, the question is that. Not much more to it. Is the pump the same? Would it need some brackets or anything?

Thanks

Can't answer the question but fitting is one thing and having the engine run correctly on it is an entirely different story.

It's extremely unlikely. The heart of a Kugelfischer is the space cam which is profiled for a particular motor (it controls the mixture at different throttle settings). If you are looking for a CSL pump Chris Randall in the UK has one (or did). But you will also need the drive mechanism, which is even harder to find than the pump. I recall seeing a complete setup for a group 2 635 in Germany a while back...

I've talked with Chris about his. But this one is from a guy next door and was really cheaper. I know cheap comes expensive, but it was less than 1 third of the price.

I was told that the "hearts" were the same...that's why I've asked.

Thanks.

Well, it's conceivable that the space cams are the same between the 2.6 liter Capri and the 3 liter E9. In race trim the two engines were comparable. If you're willing to roll the dice on the interchangeability then your next problem is the drive mechanism. Here is what you need, or need to replicate.

Yes, that must be the difficult part... :(
I think it's better to wait for a proper set.
Thanks a lot for your advice.

EDIT:
Nevertheless, how much difficult would it be to find one of those? Are they around?

They appear from time to time. You could ask Chris or Alex Elliot (at Roundel Racing- he is on this forum occasionally). I hate to discourage you but these are really hard to find parts and very expensive when you do find them. I haven't even mentioned the slide throttle assembly that normally goes with this! I'd suggest triple side drafts instead...

And here is that Capri race motor.. just a gorgeous bit of machinery!
