Does anyone else take their E9 out in the snow?

PS: Scott, you have a really beautiful coupe. I especially like the clear lenses against the Black. I live in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, one of the few states that does NOT require front license plates. So when I look at your front I am seriously distracted by your MY BABY plate. Perhaps I am spoiled, but in my opinion the front grill formation is a design triumph. Just a thought. And if I am out of line I apologize and please say so. I just could not help my self.

Steve

Of course you’re not out of line. Front license plates are required in Idaho but rarely if ever do you get ticketed for not having one. Since my rear license plate is also my baby I thought it would be cute to include it for the front. I kind of like the plate but can easily remove it. A lot of people seem to smile when they see it especially when they realize that it is the actual same license plate as the one in the back.

Snow is a little scarce here just now, so no, I likely won't drive the CS in it.

OTOH, I was today gifted a '96 E34 (525i sedan) in moderately good shape. It'll keep me off the streets for a short time.

That is is such a cool shot!
Sad that Idaho, like so many states requires the front plate. I have often wondered if I could run a German license plate with the same combo of letters and numbers as my "Antique" plate. So for now here is what I do:

And truth be told officer, I run an early, beautiful powder blue with cream lettering, PA "Classic" plate from a long gone Bavaria. PA changed to an UGLY white plate with blue numbers and letters and a Model A Ford taking up the left side of the plate just before I applied for my antique plate. Embarrassing!

Right across the Delaware River in NJ, cops will pull you over if you don't have your front plate attached. Mostly.

And aren't all our coupes "Our Baby" Although my wife says I treat mine like an ageing starlet.

Shortly after getting car, I couldn’t resist driving to a short early meeting on a beautiful morning. It turned into a long meeting during an ice storm. Got back to office, beat my head against yellow concrete post, got back in car, and crawled to detailer where we huddled for 30 mins on plan to mitigate my failure to look at forecast. Short morning drive cost me $300, which I paid as penance and a reminder. Not a drop has touched the car since.

Drive it to Calgary and get it shot with Krown or Rust Check. This stuff works even in Quebec. Always found it strange that cars rust out needlessly in Buffalo, New York.
This isn't an undercoat, but a yearly rust preventative.

Scott,

Is that the same tailpipe tip from when you had the 74 bumpers? It seems too long now with euro style rear bumper. Be careful not to back into any snow banks!
