Was working with a fellow couper and adjusting a door/ window. The question is that the door striker on the post has screws one of which is the latching part. On that part is a sleeve of sorts with a conical head.
So here's the question- Is that sleeve supposed to rotate in relation to latching or just to provide a surface that the opposite door part to ride on? It would seem as if that part could rotate the door latch motion would be smoother. I beleive the other three screws are sufficiant to hold the mechanism securely, so perhaps a dab of locktite to hold the screw at just off contact would allow the sleeve to rotate.
Window adjustment at rear- there was no bottom bolt under the door frame. Has anyone noted the change from the repair manual?
