Are these another form of bumpstop that go opposite the dome switches in the door jams or are these in addition to those? I have only these, the cylindrical ones did not come with the car. Was going to buy some but wanted to make sure I need both types.

The original is plastic, no taper, white and perfectly cylindrical.
Two holes in the door jam, one seats the bumper, what would the other be for?
Poor photo from my 02 but above door brake and opposite the switch.
Realizing that one whole in my door jam and an aligned hole in the door are for wiring for electric windows which I do not have. The plugs shown, fit too lose in these to think that was their purpose. They are too large to fit as bump stops. So anybody know what these are. They look to be old, thinking it came with the car when new.
