Door Skins for 74 CSI

Hi Guys,

I have 2 questions:

1) Did BMW ever make door skins as a replacement part or are they all aftermarket?

2) I am looking for door skins (both doors), can anyone recommend a supplier and the most economical means of getting them to Australia.

BMW didn't make door skins but they still have (apparently) a large stock of new doors. It was a few years ago that I enquired but at the time the price was 700.00 sterling but because I was never out of the place he could do me a deal at 500.00 still a grand for two though. If you decide that you would like metal instead of fiberglass a guy called Ted Teece will make them for you in aluminium or steel. Ted makes a lot of stuff for Jaymic the 02 and CS specialists in Norfolk, U.K. he is also about half the price. You'll have to ring him to see if he will post to Australia I don't see why not though, its the money side that'll be a bit tougher as I don't think he takes credit cards. His number is 44(0)1543 481188 don't use the 0 outside the UK.
