Hi, just wondering what the long term forum regulars and experts on E9 pricing think in what range the following hypothetical car would likely run price wise?
Very sound body. Any rust issues dealt with completely and skillfully.
A car that lived it's years in a dry climate like Cali, Arizona, etc.
Paint and brightwork 7 out of 10 at the most.
Running gear non original. Preferably 3.5 litre conversion with 5 speed manual.
Mechanically sorted and in VG overall condition.
A few dings, maybe 1 paint bubble, but no decrepit structural area.
Must look great on a hoist.
Wood and seats need to be decent and presentable, but not like the 45K car in the For sale section.
Also, your price guess should consider that I am patient and willing to look for a year or two and travel anywhere in North America for the right car, so regional price disparities should not apply
Estimates greatly appreciated. This is all hypothetical for me at the moment, but I do plan on buying a CS when and if I get some more parking space.
TIA.
