Last time I drove my coupe on a somewhat cool (close to freezing) day, the driver side of the front wind shield steamed up badly. Very slight smell of coolent in the car but not under the hood and no traces of coolent anywhere inside or out. No combination of climate control settings made any difference.

I really don't want to pull the dash so I'll assume the inverted position and poke around to see if there is ANY liquid first but this doesn't sound good.

Suggestions or just deal with it.

Defrost

I have the same problem on cool mornings. The flexible plastic defrost hose had a bad kink which I fixed but the console seems to send more air to the passenger side. I keep the Vent lever closed, turn the fan on high and the lever to Defrost. It helps to keep the wind wing opened slightly. I also get a whiff of coolant occassionally. Since I can't find any leaks I try to ignore it!
