Hi all,

Does anyone in the UK have one of these spare, or know of anywhere i can get one? The teeth on mine have worn away and the window no longer goes up without a struggle.

And does anyone know if its possible to get rear shocks that are similar to the stock shocks that came on the CSL? I'm under the impression that its not possible to get the stock shocks anymore?

cheers

To make things easier, you can replace the window motor and regulator with ones from the rear windows of an E28. If you check out the thread about it, the wiring doesn't need to be changed much at all, and the windows go up/down much faster.

I can let you have either an e9 Condition unknown until I take them off or E28 one, which were working before I started to strip it!
E28 I have both left and right hand side
In regard to Shock absorbers try the usual suspects, W&N Germany or Jaymic in Cromer Norfolk
I do have a telephone number for Bilstien, but they will only build a minimum number on request

Let me know
Cheers

james - i may be able to help you out too - is yours the early (metal tobacco tin type) or late (black oblong plastic type) ?

James,
If your talking about my spare E9 regulators, no I don't as I haven't removed them from the parts car, extra doors I have yet

THe E28 rears (the replacement other posts have described) work

PM me if interested

sorry malc, i realised it was a stupid question as soon as i posted it.

christopher - mine are the old tin type.

i think i'm going to stick with the old e9 ones for the time being and then switch to the e28's at a later date

james - i've got 1 but not sure what side it came from - possibly the passenger side - you're welcome to it

James no question is stupid!
Usually it's the answers!

Told to me by my Physics teacher, Mr Small, many, many moons ago!
I wonder what he is up to now he must be about 70!

PS I'll keep the E28 regulators in my shed!
