I am wondering if anyone has ever used this process to clean the underside of their car? Apparently, if applied properly, the dry ice only removes the undercoat and grime, without damaging rubber, etc.
Tried it, for engine, suspension etc it worked amazingly well. One note of warning, it will remove some paint as well. I posted pics in a thread some years back but can't find it
When I came back for the rubber before my resto the guy gave up after three hours.
I looked into it and it does work, but the costs of hiring the machine and buying the ice in the UK were prohibitive. It will remove paint but not leave a residue and leave the surface undamaged.
Eventually - I decided to blast with a medium instead. Much cheaper but longer and harder work.
