Dumb question - Redline for 3.5L?

Just got to thinking after stretching my coupe's legs yesterday out and back from EuroFest if our original CS tach redline is matched to what a 3.5L motor redline would be in its respective donor car (535i, 635i, 735i, etc).

I'm assuming "revs" remain constant regardless of car but the redline may be different between cars.

Any thoughts?

Most M30's redline a hair over 6k, so I don't think there is a big variance.
