E23 - Wow!

Funny never seen a spare tire in a BMW mounted like that. Put a set of Hartge's on there and some sport springs/shocks and you have yourself a mean daily! Haven't heard much about the 3.3L motors which probably means they are good to go. I know the 3.5's of the era are some of the best ever made. Had an e34 and it was bullet proof.

If you want a Luxury car and don't care what others think, buy this and invest the savings. New cars leave me cold.

Price???????

I hate ads that don't include the price or the price is hidden somewhere in the multi thousand word description.

Guys, that's not just any E23. That's an early model, AKA sharknose! Very clean and cool looking ride, that's for sure. Too bad it's not a 5 speed though.
as i remember, my dad had a '78 733i, us models only came as automatics in the early years. i could easily be wrong ... as i am now older than my father was when he bought the car ... by close to 10 years.

I purchased a 1979 733i new and it was a 4 speed. Good car but some electrical issues. Replaced several batteries while I owned it.

The reactors were removed and replaced with headers and it made a much better driving car. With that said compared to the earlier BMW examples we owned it was very heavy feeling in city traffic.

I remember the first night we drove it home. That dash with all of the colors looked like the space shuttle......
