E24 manual sport seats in an E9

Who's retrofitted E24 sport seats into an E9 (the E24 manual sport seat, not the electric adjust units)?

While I love my pair of Scheel's, the look really doesn't suite the E9 (but it somehow works in Paul Cain's car). Even though I've now got the Scheel's at their lowest possible mounting height, I'd like to sit another 1" or 2" lower, and was thinking maybe a set out of an E24 would work better.

I have e24 recaros in my car, fitting was easy, I just had to make up 2 x steel spacer strips for each seat

I have BMW Recaros from a 4 door I assume, as there is no tilt lever fitted to the seat back, though you can tilt them from the base if you know where to put your hand, and they are a perfect height for me, I'm 6'3. I made adaptors like kasbatts

FYI - see pic 11. Very dirty, but the bolsters look good. You can get a leather seat kit from world uph for around $800.

You need to balance the look by putting in the rear headrests like he did! :razz:
