Hello guys.
I am reproducing this set for driver and passenger motor retainer plate.
Same measurements, sheet gauge, etc. With a semi-matte black powder coating and electroplating process.
The single plate is for the driver's side and the angle is to release the oil filter housing and remove the filter. the double plate is for the passenger side.

My '73 doesn't have these, nor does the parts book call for them, yet the subframe has the holes on it for the mounting bolts...strange. I doubt my subframe was replaced; it would take serious accident to damage that sturdy assembly.

My motor mounts have a very slight rearward bias, not forward. I assume these are placed in front to avoid the engine moving forward and munching on the radiator in a high-G deceleration event? I'd rather have them in the back to avert my slight slide to the back.

I wish I had a picture to share, but I took mine off the car several weeks ago. They bolt to the subframe, just below the rubber engine mounts (front side). The intent (I believe) is that a hard braking incident that would allow the rubber mounts to flex forward - these provide some additional stop for that event.

WAIT - here's a pic of my passenger side mount and clip before removal:

A very worthwhile addition. Only US coupes had a simpler single bracket on each side, in 74 US coupes got these reinforced brackets.
I'll confirm that my '73 only had space for a single plate on both sides.. Since the mounting holes were in the frame, it made good sense to mount them.
