For me - Anytime I just see an E3.... regardless of color. LOL
I honestly can't remember the last time I saw one out and about (without it being at a BMW event).
Same with the E23 (and one reason I got the 728i... They just aren't that many around any longer).
On a side note - If you recall, I brought my car (the E23) to SFDon for some mechanical refreshing when I picked up my CS.
Replacement parts for that car have been a PITA to get - being a late base Euro model E23 has made it surprisingly hard to get some things....
Not to mention $$$.... I think I've talked to Don more about the parts issues with that car than when he had the E9 in work....
Go figure....
