Hi All,

I've been running an E30 low-pressure in-tank pump for a couple of years an my FI conversion. I do have have a couple of other high-pressure in-tank pumps and carriers that I was going to modify to eliminate the external high-pressure pump.

Question: Is the only mod to these that is usually done when extending to the proper length, just adding a small piece of fuel line (30R10, of course) to extend the pump deeper and clamping the pump to the return line? Or, is it better to have the tubes extended and TIG'ed?

Thanks!

would love to hear any response to this, as i have a 635 in-tank pump ... and it doesn't go deep enough and i don't get accurate readings.

Once you cut the tube and add the fuel line and hose clamps you will realize the wires are too short...got to adjust that too. I use a e23 fuel level sender because it is so long.

How is the accuracy of the e23 level sender with your gauge? We are looking to improve this on several conversions.

The common e30 piece is not accurate and most owners just "adjust" to the new reading.

This thread is interesting......I use an E24 (635) sender with my (extended) in tank high pressure pump.
The gauge calibration is pretty wierd though..... Empty is with the needle down well below the E almost to "tank".... but the low fuel light comes on with 2 gals left just as you'd like.
I sure would be up for a more accurate sender......
