e32 altenator

hi, has anyone fitted the 115 amp alternator with the cooling cowl to an e9 and retain the battery tray.

You also have to change the alternator mounting bracket because the width of the mounting arm on the alt is thicker than the original one.

thanks, it is on the e32 engine with the e32 brackets, but it fowls with the battery tray, do you have to mod the air intake on the alternator to clear.
