E9 Alloy Wheel set

Not much, unfortunately. Sold a set recently, refinished with new tires and center caps, for $500. That was less than I paid for the tires but the buyer needed them for his resto.

Where are ya? Do you know the tire condition/age?
I gave the set off my donor car to another owner who spied them in the background of a photo of a completely unrelated item I had listed online.. The only condition was that he had to put the car on wheels with inflated tires so i could move it about. they are cool looking wheels in my opinion - just not very sought after.
On the subject of wheels - I am refurbing my alpinas at the moment - is there such a thing as a paint code for the silver paint as they came from or is it just some kind of generic wheel silver?

They ARE cool-looking wheels. With the proper hubcaps, I think they just look perfect on an e9 or e3. The problem is that there are a lot of them out there (unlike the e9's fragile bodies, their aluminum wheels last pretty close to forever). And many coupe owners want to switch to alpina-style wheels. So an excess of supply results in low prices.

I tried to investigate this when I refinished my Alpinas. Alpina does not know or is not saying. Based on several recommendations (and some threads here), I used BMW Polaris with a satin clear coat.

As Thomas said above, location is important; shipping big, bulky stuff can get expensive. If tires are, ahem, tired...trash them to reduce shipping. Or keep the rubber to protect the rims and stick them on the bus...As has been stated before, look at the wheels on a Dino 246gt and tell me these aren't cool...
