e9 black rear bumper question

Hi,

I've seen pictures of e9's with black rear bumpers, are people plating the chrome bumpers or are these purchased like this and if so who's sells them?

James, you are probably referring to the Csl rear fiberglass bumpers. Zaprace has them and so does @Gerrit.
My first choice would be Gerrit ([email protected]) and if he doesn’t have them, then Zaprace.

Keshav, I think we might have touched this before. Was the alternative CSL Batmobile rear bumper black fibreglass or thin black plastic like mine?

No problem with Chris or Gerrit's fibreglass but does anyone do the plastic one?

I'm likely setting myself up for failure here, but I have read on numerous articles that it was made from formed polyester.

Maybe that’s why this could happen..... which won’t with fiberglass although the plastic/ formed polyester is lighter.

Looks like they parked it next a building with UV reflecting windows. I’m sure @autokunst and fellow architects know what I am referring to. The building that I work at has a hot spot in the courtyard that will take out a laptop keyboard in minutes.
