Thats brilliant - thanks.

Can't help but think that the eternity bit is a bit tongue in cheek given the rust but i guess that is Karman's fault!

Which model is it? It looks like small Euro bumpers.
And obviously BMW not manufacturing at their facility was a big mistake on their behalf by not overseeing body parts recoating after assemble by spot welding and not recoating the burnt off paint on all these models.
Although I would like a poster too.

The ad campaign that got away....

Apparrently the Joy campaign got canned... not enough ultimate. Too much infighting within BMW on image.

Here's another for you 02 guys- http://www.in-fuenf-schritten-zur-freude.de/en

Here's the link to where the photo for the E9 ad was taken-http://www.flickr.com/photos/ltrebing/3225746993/

I'll guess that the car in the picture is a 1974 Euro delivered car. Turbine wheels and black side grills peg it as a 74 to me. Maybe part of the BMW Classic collection?

wow ! how did you find it ?
the place is beautiful, at least the exterior roof is f antastic ! the sort of construction typical for petrol s tations

Saw this car in person last week at Coupe King. Beautiful car that has been fully restored to a level rarely seen. They will be putting it up for sale shortly.

Now that I think about it, shouldn't it say 1968 to 1975? The 2800CS and the 3.0CS are virtually identical, in terms of exterior cues, so I would think they were talking about the E9 as a whole, rather than just the 3.0CS.

I agree with 30csl.

"We didn't just built it for 1971-1975." We also made sure you'd have to buy another by 1976-1980!
