E9 ignition key replacement. Advice needed

I have a 1973 3.0 CSI and need a duplicate ignition key. The car is a grey market car originally sold in Italy.
The locksmiths I have talked to cannot duplicate it even if they had blanks. Any information appreciated.

Well documented. You need to contact Santa Monica lock. They will get you straightened out...

They might have blanks as well, last time I checked...
