No doubt it is the best looking car in that dealership!

Yes, I agree. It makes the car appear thicker (heavier). I don't know that I've seen that before. It is great to see it in the dealer showroom.
I feel bad this beautiful car has to share space with some of the awful looking new BMW’s like the XM

A real car, made out of metal no less! With badging that’s honest and makes sense.
The car was restored few years ago. It is a part of collection of the Dealer.
Looking closer there are more discrepancies, not only sill color which I was able to find due to You: Experts. Thanks for that.
Anyhow it is kind a "high voltage" between E9 standing and the rest (except the roundel).
Reminds me of when my E9 (as well as other interesting cars) were invited to the grand opening of the new facilities of the Seattle BMW dealership....
The dealership asked us to put together a small description about our car. That was then printed on posterboard and placed on an easel placed next to each car. I still have that.
Was a fun evening.
