Hi fellow members just bought my first. E9 3.0csi (U.K.) looking for advice and help .The car had sat idle in a garage for 20years !!
Have pulled the fuel tank and interior out and the wiring doesn't look too healthy
Any advise where I can pick up a fuel tank or get it repaired

Welcome. Given a new csi tank will be in the order of 1,000 euros, hopefully can be cleaned /repaired locally as required . Suggest you look at a sealing "kit" for the inside of the tank too . All the seals /filters for the tank are available from Walloth & Nesch in Germany although maybe check with local BMW dealers first to avoid shipping cost. Cheers, Simon

Greetings,

Nice project, I believe someone on this forum has different types of e9 tanks for sale: (Scandinavian country)

Do a forum search in the classifieds section.

Cheers,

Mo

Mo, that is probably me you are referring to, I have one early and one later-style CSI tank for sale. However I would recommend using a "sealing kit" for both tanks just to be totally sure.

If interested you can start a conversation, I'm not looking to get every last cent out of them, and my better half sure would be happy to get them out of the way;)

And it looks like you found a nice project! We all would appreciate if you created a build thread in the project&restoration section.

Cheers,
Robert

Make contact with John Castle who runs the UK CS Register. John writes a monthly newstletter packed with invaluable information for coupe owners. Do also register your car and VIN with him.
Jaymic in the UK or Walloth & Nesch in Germant for parts - or your local BMW dealer. In London i use BMW Holland Park, who are a great help.

Robert,

You were offering a fair deal for owners in EU.

Best of luck with your project coupe & sale of parts

Regards,

Mo
