E9 on Chasing Classic Cars

It premiered on the Motor Trend app (subscription required) last night, will be on Motor Trend cable channel next Wednesday 8/11 I believe.
Worth a look.
A dark blue 73 CSI is in for paint at F40 Motorsports in CT. They talk the owner into redoing the interior and find one of the sunroof drains is not draining, investigation ensues. Owner lives in Florida. Not much detail on the body work performed.
I guess now that nice e9s go for six figures Mr. Carini is willing to give them some screen time. He takes it out for a test drive at the end. Looks like a very nice car. Unfortunately he mentions that 73 CSI‘s came with electronic FI and 5 speed transmissions. We know better.

The first Legends I attended was in 2013, three of us drove our vintage BMWs down from Portland to be a part of that amazing week which included Oktoberfest that year. After getting our cars parked with some final detailing before judging, we took off to look at all the amazing German machinery (including Porsche). When I got back to my car, there was a film crew all around my coupe. I asked one of them what was going on and they said they were with Chasing Classic Cars and Wayne asked them to film the car because he loved my interior.

I was so excited and couldn't wait to watch the upcoming Monterey espisode. I watched every second of that show but no Fjord e9. My car didn't make the cut.

Indeed they did. It was the the five speed transmission part I was calling into question.
