Hello Folks,
Having passed the two month out threshold, we're hard at work tying together Southeast Sharkfest. Everything is going as scheduled which is a nice change of pace from the events surrounding the earlier planning. *whew!* Factory tours are confirmed for Friday, and if you have never seen the inner workings of BMW, you've been missing out. We have not confirmed 100% yet, but depending on our finances this year, we are going to try to have a catered hors de'vours session on Friday (similar to '06 for those who remember).
I'm working on some graphics designs for the shirt and I think we'll have something very nice this year. As an added bonus, on Saturday we will be having a Panoramic photo taken in front of the Zentrum. For those of you who has seen Benjamin Porter's panoramics, you know it's a wonderful thing to have hanging in your house (I have two from the years he did them). What better backdrop for our wonderful e24 (and others) than the Zentrum and the BMW factory!
If you haven't yet registered, and would like to join us this April, please register today at www.bmwsharkfest.org (click on Event Info for more information). The event is 6-centric, but all models are welcome (heck, we've even had a Subaru and an Acura in past years). If you're an enthusiast, you're invited! The e9's are daddy-6er's and I love them to death - if you have one, please join us for this long weekend event at the BMW Zentrum and let us oogle it.
In regards to the hotel: we are both nearing our reservations block limit AND deadline for our contract with the Hyatt. We have a limited rooms this year, and unlike 2006, we do not have the hotel to ourselves. There are two other groups that will be occupying the hotel this year and once our block is gone, it will be gone for good. I had to work hard for this rate so please PLEASE take advantage of it and make your reservations today!!! (FYI - one internet account per room is included in our rate).

We have contracted rooms for Thursday, April 30th, through Monday May 3rd. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected] at any time!
Best Regards,
Kai Xing
