Gruppe: Up for an afternoon romp thru Gold Country?

All E9s and E3s welcomed for a point to point run, about 100-110miles?

When: Saturday, Oct 25th, 2025

Where: Gold Country California

Start: El Dorado, CA 95623
Pleasant Valley Rd x Hwy 49
Gather: 11am-ish
Depart: 12noon (sharp-ish)

Drive: @ 100+miles? 3-4hrs.
No dirt. All Foothill/Sierra 2-laners, cresting 7000ft. Make sure vehicle is ready for Sierra foothills (ie: sustained climbs and descents)
Epic scenery and roads (IMHO) with poor cell service.

Finish: Mokelumne Hill, CA 95245
Arrival: 4pm?

This is a 'No Host' thang, but there are some neat food establishments at both the start and finish. Get hungry on drive? Bring snacks/picnic to tide ya over

Oooh wish i could do & meet new e3/e9 owners but too far away & too darn busy BUT just further dramatically improved my 74e3-Bavaria (GranotRot) with removing egr , bad Carb and inserting dual Webers…anyway wish anyone an awesome October Cali autumn Drive…just sharing 3 of the 4 e3s i have…. no e9s currently in my smallish “Barn / Collection”….enjoy over there !

I’m also out of town. I love Highway 49. I drive it often up to Sierra City and on to Sierraville. I,
haven’t ever done it in my E9 which is in Don’s shop anyway.

Yes Old Man Winter and Mother Nature conspired against our Gold Country 'romp'. Did it rain? Yes, but nothing unruly.

So an E9, a 2002 and an MRS (Toyota) went up to about 4000ft

Did it rain enough to warrant putting the top up? Well that would depend on the individual

I dedicated the run to our friend and fellow E9er Arde (Ariel Hendel), hence the flowers on the dash and presence in the route book.
