Earliest 2800CS ?? UK resto nearing completion

Very nice - i love the colour.

A set of period alpinas would be great - the more modern ones dont suit that well in my opinion.
 
Great story. I suspect the rear suspension/brakes etc are from a Bavaria/Si.
I also suspect many of us have underestimated by at least half the work that needs to be done on the coupe we are purchasing. How bad can the rust be? HoHoHo.

Find out the build date from BMW, info is on the registry page, lower left corner. U.S. 2800CS coupes were built starting in September of 1969.
 
Guys just wanted to add that Bela_22 from this board was the man that coordinated the interior resto - On balance it was definately worth doing so if you like what you see in the pictures and you're based in Europe (or not?) then drop me a message for a more detailed chat.
