eBay auction 3rd time again for golf colored 73 3.0CS

Golf e9

Certainly nice looking and good shots of repainting, but would anyone on this board ever advertise their coupe as "100% rust free" - to me this means all rust has been removed, painted over, or otherwise hidden. Very strange that there are no engine shots.

Anyway, will be sold for >$20K.

I really like this car! It just needs someone to take the car the rest of the way. I think it was a good fetch for all parties at the ending price.

Golf 3.0 CS--sorry but a BIG problem

I met the owner at my regular BMW place about 6 weeks ago--the owner is a really intersting character as he has all the answers about E-9's without even asking him. I had driven up in my BLUMAX and the owner having dolled this one up with a quick paint job--with some really careless overspray on several surfaces where Golf doesn't belong--at 5 feet it looked great--but--when I inquired of its actual condition from the owner of the Independent BMW service where it had been several times including that trip--and I having gone with BLUMAX and my other BMW's for many years--he volunteered that it had many problems including serious rust issues and mechanical needs.

A REAL CASE OF GOLF PAINT ALLURE--APPEARANCES CAN BE VERY DECEIVING--PERHAPS THATS WHY IT KEEPS RETURNING TO FLEA-BAY?

good eye...

and all their cars are RUST FREE!

I think I agree with RonP though... a few details (stance) and this could be a nice looking car.

and all there cars are RUST FREE!

Which in "Coupe" language, means that there isn't any extra charge for the existing rust...LOL!!!!

At least no overspray on the GTV. And seller states "one of Baritone’s most beautiful body designs." And also says "eye popping Breton coupe designs." He sold a CSi a year or so ago but is not a BMW guy.
