You don't these everyday.

These cars were part of the fallout from BMW's purchase of Glas in the late 60's. Unlike the 1600GT which had a 1600ti drivetrain the 3000's only had BMW badging. Less than 400 made makes them much rarer than 1600GT's. I've seen a few 1600GT's over the years but a don't recall ever seeing a the Fura designed 3000 in person.

This one looks to be in great condition. Pictures leave a little to be desired.

Love the look and the interior is perfect.

Would surely be a hit at the local cars & coffee.

75k seems like a high starting point. After all, its not a Maserati.

Good luck finding parts.

I want it. (wish a could afford it)

Of course not mine and no affiliation...

Stunning, the one car I would consider trading for my coupe. Not because it looks better but because it is so unique and rare, and I love the dash and instruments.

Interesting slice of Euro auto history! And found good wiki articles available.

With as noted this car being really a final Glas. And as seems apparent having Italian design - by Pietro Frua, who seems a story in own right. Maybe someone knows if there was cross fertilization with E9 design?

Again interesting slice, but Stan keep your coupe!!

Mike O'Hara, owner of a local indy shop here in Portland, has one these and looks as nice as the one in the ad. He brought to one for our Motorfest a couple years back and got parked next to my coupe. I thought for sure he'd win 'best in show' but, as luck would have it, I did.

I would trade the Coupe for a Glaserati and a first round draft pick in 2016.

I'm with you Chris the rarer the better. Especially if they are as well sorted as this 3000 seems to be.

The Fantasy Junction listing does the car justice. The pictures and discription are great.

I find it amazing that an ebay seller would post a car with an opening bid of $75K and use mediocre photos.

The hint of a "Hofmeister Kink" on the C pillar is purely coincidental.

If you think E9 cars collect rust...........these cars were born to rust, and they are lousy cars to drive, but rare is rare, I prefer a good bone-in filet
