When did the coupes start getting the two underdash window relays? My May `73 US spec has them. If the coupe has these relays, do the windows work without the key in the accessory mode? Mine do but the wiring diagrams I have all show that the windows (as well as horn and lighter) activate through the load shed relay only with key in the accessory position or with ignition on. Just wondering.

You might be confusing relays with trip switches also known as circuit breakers. Do they have buttons to push? if so they are breakers
They were fitted to stop the circuit overloading and burning the motors, wires, and switches!
As to the wiring and the windows working without the key I am not sure. It would appear no two coupes are the same in the wiring department
It could be your wiring has been messed with over the years and if you indeed have relays chances are they were fitted by somebody in the past

Malc, Yes, they are circuit breakers, not relays. They were introduced at some point on the coupes. My wiring looks fairly clean under the dash.

I have them in my '73 but the red buttons are not connected to anything...
