Was thinking of going thorough my wiring and replacing the contacts in the connectors with new ones and cutting off an inch of wire to hook up to hopefully fresher wire. Does anyone know of a quality source for these connectors, the tools to take them apart and also if there are sources for the common plastic connector housings should some of mine be past their usefull and reliable lifespan? Tia.

Mouser has the connectors like the diagnostic ports etc. Also the tabbed/locking spade connectors. Belmetric also has the locking spades.

Googled who Mouser was. Looks like I'll need a catalog to sort through their catalog. Thanks all for those sources.

guys, where do you recommend to find 90 degree 'flag' spade connectors - w/ tabs to lock into headlight plugs? i'd rather get new connectors to fit directly into the plugs than create a splice connection. i looked on Belmetric and they didn't have any 90 degree pieces. i looked on Amazon and found some without tabs - mostly insulated pieces and not as long as the ones that are on the harness. i have started to look on Mouser - yikes, you guys are right ... its huge.

i also need to find a 2 prong connector for my fuel supply at the gas tank. the one that is on my car isn't wide enough to work with the new pump.

i found the flag type spade connectors on the Volvo Harness parts website. i guess the easiest thing to do for the pump plug is to use insulated pig tails

no idea if the dimension between this connector is the right size

Speaking of headlamp flag connectors… does anyone have a source for the correct crimped for those? Yeah, you can hack at it with a number of substitutes but nothing that will make a nice air tight crimp as they’re supposed to be.

I have several of these available. You can PM me, but due to new US regulation shipping will not be cheap (~$40).
