emergency flashers

I seem to have the opposite problem of what appears to be an issue common to the emergency flashers.
My turn signals and brake lights are fully functioning, but my flashers don't illuminate (or blink)

After the usual 3 months of winter hibernation, my flashers were working fine but the button would not "click in", so the flashers would not stop.

Pulled it out, took it apart and got the button to stick. Re-installed and now the turn signals work but the emergency flashers don't.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I see two options:
1) The button never really "clicks out". See if the turn signals still work when the button is clicked out to the hazard position. If they still work, the button is not really mechanically clicking out. Check your work or get a new one.
2) The button "clicks out" mechanically but the 12V for the flashers does not connect. If the turn signals do not work in this position then you have this case. The solution is the same.

I read the FAQ article in the electrical section and than I got the parts and went to work. I did get tired of not hearing the turn signal or seeing the light on the dash and the fast signal rate.
