I went to the Seal Beach pier today to see the space shuttle Endeavour make its last flight, pretty awe inspiring to say the least! It went right above us at 1,500 feet. My wife saw it near John Wayne and our son saw it from his middle school as well.

Neat, wonder what will become of that 747? I read somewhere it consumes 6000 gallons an hour with the shuttle on it's back.

It flew right over the building I work at in HB but I didn't get out to see in in time. I took a late lunch or I would have seen it.

Great pics! I could see it from my office in SF, but the pic I tried to take through the window just looked like a white smear in the sky. Pretty cool - the last time I saw a space shuttle in the air was maybe 1985 down in Florida. (Of course that one was going up not sideways.)

That is one fine bird...

it goes really fast as well...about 17,500 mph. Zero to 100 mph over a distance of 200 feet.

I am a big fan of the fly-over that happens atnthe first home game of the season for the Patriots.

Now THIS is a fly over!

Very impressive!

Andrew,

How many miles do you have in Endeavour? I'll bet it doesn't corner as well as a coupe! Murray cherishes the signed photograph you kindly sent him.

Chris

~ 6,500,000 miles.

The support for Murray has been excellent and I just wanted to do my part.
