Engine Bay Gasket, which side?

New W&N gasket, top is reinforced, bottom is more like a sweep for a storm door. No deep slot. What side does it mount on, closer (green arrow) or farther(red arrow) from the windshield? Both sides have some little stuff in the way like the nut to hold the heater blower cowl in place etc.

I thought the side in your image was the correct one but I looked on-line for images and actually saw this gasket on both sides , thus my question.

maybe these pic help? Could ofcourse be that the new gaskets are shaped somewhat different?

I am all set based on above. Appreciate the help. The W&N gasket is quite different, looks like a windshied wiper on the top.
