Hi all
Can I have some help please
I have purchased a 3.5 for the old girl and are about to get under way with the rebuild, but I'm getting a bit confused as to what i've got.
The block has 3.5 cast onto the side, and I think i'm right in saying that it is a 3 November 85.
There is a casting on the block "3 K 85" , and the head also has 85 in a circle on it??
My question is, is this a M30b35 or a M30b34, and what are the differances between the two??
As I'm in New Zealand the engine spec is going to be the same as Europe as thats what we got here.
And last question, what would this engine have been? Motronic, Ltronic???
There is no dissy drive and the top section of the front cover is missing so I'm a bit cluless here
If its any help the front pulley has the large diameter ring at the back of it near the block and there is a bracket for some sort of crank trigger, I have read somewere on the forum that the M30b35 has this and the M30b34 has this set up on the flywheel, is this correct??
Thanks for your help in advance
Steve
