What's the consensus on motor oil these days, ie brand and weight.

Only motor oil I'll put in the coupe is Castrol GTX 20W50.
probably asking for a consensus it is too much,
i use castrol classic oil mineral 20w50

I recently switched from Castrol 20W50 to Valvoline racing VR1 20W50 because it has more zinc/zddp or whatever - good for old engines. But always liked Castrol for years. I have a spin on adapter so I use a Royal Purple filter.

Walmart 20/50 for me.
12 bucks for 5 quarts.
You will need 1 big bottle because you don't need to change the filter.
Drive for a week and replace with royal purple and a new filter.
