Well group,
After ten tears and 2 cross country trips, my coupe has left me stranded on the side of the road for the first time. It has 2 weber 38's 3.5 liter engine with msd6 and pertronix. I have dug through all the related search items and though I haven't started troubleshooting the problem yet, have a pretty good idea of where to look.
The car has done this once before in the driveway several months ago. It dies and will not hit, if I wait a half hour it starts and runs fine, its getting fuel, I beleive the problem lies with either an old wire somewhere in the ignition circuit or the MSD6 box is overheating or shorting out. Electrical is not my best skill but i do have a meter and would appreciate some advice as to what order of items to be checked and exactly how to do so.
Thanks in advance for all the help
Ernest

Can't think of any electrical components where performance improves with age. You mention two electrical add-ons (Petronix and MSD6), either or both of which can operate well for years - or fail without warning "out of the box." May as well start there. Naturally, the ignition coil and associated wiring should not be overlooked either.
