I finally got around to installing the console (which is very cool) in my '74 and it looks great. Just one problem, I can't use the the front seat belt because the receiver stalk doesn't fit between the seat "hinge" and the console.Anyone else have the same trouble? Any solutions? Eric is looking into it himself.

Try pushing the stalk down so that it comes out right at the hinge of the seat
I had the same problem but it resolved that way

We are going to test his console in my car this weekend. Keep you posted...

Eric stopped by this evening. The console is definitely a snug fit. However, we were able to wrap the buckle under the chrome hinge cover and up. My buckles are from Klippan, and are 16.75" long. I believe that Eric is going to compare them to the OEM ones.

The console is made very well, and looks natural in the car. I will add it to the list of someday items.

I will post some pics later this evening.

Apologies for the crappy cell phone pics. They don't do the product justice...

Stan - perhaps you can post a picture of your setup!

Because I have the Recaro's in my car the arm-rest/cupholder fits with lots of room. I have allot of extra padding under the carpet with the sound insulation and jute so I have to get up under the car and use some small machine screws with nuts and lock washers to hold it in place as the sheet metal screws keep coming loose. That is not a design flaw with the arm rest, just a result of me being overzealous when assembling the interior. I can add a note to anyone re-doing their interior and that is to be careful when putting any additional material anywhere where plastic or wood pieces join as the tolerances are really tight in the most unexpected places :)
