Location
US - Philadelphia suburbs

Located in south-east Italy. Many photos of extensive rust repair. It will be interesting to see how this one does.

Great photos documenting the rust repairs. Black would not be my first choice but it looks great. Planning a trip to this region of Italy in the fall 2023 to attend a wedding.

Yea, I too am watching this carefully. Already updated my insurance value to $70k from well above that. Enjoying My Baby in the snow

Royal PITA to get it to the USA, so that will affect final bidding. Also long way's away for personal inspection.

But looks like it was restored correctly (fenders off, etc) for how bad it was beforehand.

And of course, grey market...California buyers will have issues registering it.

I'm thinking $90k RNM.

yup. RNM at $75k due to the geography.

Easily a $120k that rivals what Oldenzaahl routinely exports for those prices.

Wonder what they are asking (i.e. reserve)

Actually less than $120K

In reality we knew that the location could penalize the result of the auction, but despite everything the biddings got closer.

It was still fun.

I hadn't seen this car/auction until this morning. Sorry I missed watching it live. The fact is, this car has many similarities to my Raven project. Both cars started out silver and ended up black. The interior on this car is the color I plan on using. The extent of corrosion appears a bit more extensive on the Italian car than on mine, but it is great to see the work and outcome. The car appears to have turned out sharp. As it is my "color scheme", I love it.

Despite it is gone...

It was interesting to see:

Looks like a foil furniture repair rather than veneer.
Also not fitting the color/structure in comparison to instruments holder.
