yes, a sanding drum attachment on a dremel works great.

@kentvonseverin it is a bit more than just taking 4 mil off the top, as the US reflector gets wider at the top. You'll want to even out the sides too. See images at https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/parking-light-restoration.40691/
