My CS has a hole in the muffler so I took it to a local exhaust shop I usually use. Unfortunately, they could find no part number or source for the muffler. I have searched the threads and have found many threads regarding the expensive stainless systems available or a Dynaflow muffler that might work. I could not find a part number referenced for the Dynaflow or any information on how much you need to modify the exhaust to make it work.

I just would like to have a nice sounding exhaust system that doesn't break the bank and isn't too loud. Any tips? I still have the 2 resonators and stock tailpipe. It looks like my long resonator may be getting a crack in it so if there is a replacement for that or anything similiar that anyone knows of please let me know. I could use the resonator for now if necessary but a muffler is definitely needed asap.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Richie

I just got a quote from BMW for $642.10 for the muffler and tailpipe. I decided I would try the Magnaflow route before taking the OEM plunge. I tracked down the Magnaflow muffler listed in the other threads. It appears to be part # 12645. I just ordered one from Amazon for $78 shipped. I will give that a go and see how it sounds. If it is not good I will go with the OEM unit.

I will post back with some pics and critique.

Thanks

Richie

Read reviews on ddmtuning before giving them your money - took me forever to get a refund from them when they couldn't get a part.

I ordered the Magnaflow before I saw your post. I will definitely order the one you listed if the Magnaflow does not work out.

Thank you
