Looking to fit extra gauges and wanted to know what value ranges I need for the Oil Pressure and Oil Temp gauges. Also for the Ammeter should I get a 30-0-30 or 60-0-60?

Gauges

Oil Press. 0-150 Volt 0-16 Wide band A/F ratio, digital
Gauge panel by Andi "orangener" powder coated to more or less match the wood.
VDO Gauges and dual oil pressure sender from Hollywood Speedometer (excellent prices and service) A/F meter is AEM Performance Electronics #30-4100 Gauge, UEGO

With an alternator, if the charging system is making 14 volts you know the alternator is charging.....you don't care how much....the amount will be dependent on loads and battery condition.... all you need to know is that the voltage is correct.
Also, more importantly.... there is a big difference between 12 volts (not charging) and 14 volts (charging correctly) on a voltmeter. Making a failure much easier to notice before your walking......

An 80 psi / 5 bar oil gauge will give you more sensitive gauge readings since the m30 is typically lower pressure/higher volume.

i fitted four gauges:

water temp. 120 C (crosschecking gauge)
oil temp. 150 C
oil press. 0-5 bar
voltmeter. 0-16 volts

viewline series from vdo

ampmeter, usually said to be interesting, but the section of the cable that you have to install back and forth from the alternator made it very difficult to install

i have a thread on a different position for installation:

I have 4 gauges installed:

Voltmeter in the middle console 0-16 Volt, in the dash the oil pressure range 0-5 bar, oil temperature range 0-150° Celsius and a always restless vakuum-meter :)

Oil Pressurer

+1 to Chris,
That is a damn high or errant reading. My engine kicks to just above 60 cold start. Book says...idling -26 to 31 psi (1.8 to 2.0 bar)
Max. engine revs - approximately 70 psi (5.0 bar) Me, I do not think atmospheric, if I see the idle pressurer (sic) at or above 30 psi, hot, I am a happy camper. Or I suppose I could wait for the light to go on! Also, I am a firm believer of Castrol GTX 20W/50....plenty of 500,000+ Km motors say it must be a good thing. Don't run the car hard enough to worry about oil temp.
Andi, I will e-mail you soon brother...vacuum...carbs suck

That's awfully light oil for California, many use 20W50, which would lead to your higher pressure reading perhaps?

The elevated cold pressure is the reason I use the lighter oil. 10W30 has the gauge well over 100# when cold, and 75# going down the road.

I had a 2002 that had very high oil pressure like this and it turned out the OP relief valve was jammed in it's bore by dissimilar metal corrosion probably from sitting unused for a few years. The OP relief piston is steel and the OP housing is Magnesium.....
In fact this weekend I repaired a friends pump with just the opposite problem. The Op relief valve bore was so worn that the piston would catch on the ridge worn in the bore and he would have very low OP when hot. I reamed the bore about 15 thou to get rid of the ridge and made a new piston to fit. it's now completely cured.....

Just bumping this thread as I now have my gauges and have taken her for a drive. In hindsight i would have gone for a 120c oil temp gauge as it seems the oil only gets to about 85c - is this what others see?

Also oil pressure when cold is 80psi, 60 when going along at 2500rpm and 20 or so when warm and idling at c 850rpm.
