I have to admit, despite being in the IT world, I have not gotten involved with Facebook. That said, does Facebook have a place for users of our site here? Should we set up a Facebook page for E9 Owners that would have connections to this site?

If so, we'll be looking for a "volunteer" to help us out on the Facebook side. Let us know what you think!

I'm in the mobile internet world and have had a FB account for at least 5 years. I don't use it as much as I did initially, but still.

If the purpose is to increase awareness of the BMW E9 Coupe with the general public, I'd say that FB is probably the best (free) medium out there today. Yes, the FB page could direct users to this site which will translate in increased user base.

Personally, I think that the impact of having such a page will be more on raising awareness with the public than on increasing the user base here. If you're an E9 owner or a prospective one, this site is very easy to find and join. I don't believe that they are a lot of E9 owners on FB who are not aware of our forum.

Also, it will require someone to maintain the page to keep it "alive" and to moderate comments and posts.

When I was exposed to this car I had to have one. And now; I will keep it forever (hand down to my son) if at all possible.
Based on my experience this will increase demand for this car. Is that the desire?
