Just thought I'd share a photo from this past weekend.
The morning started badly: misty and cold and the battery was drained because I have still failed to track down a short. But, my trusty co-pilot, Nani, and I left home early enough that I thought we'd miss any leaf peeping traffic on the Kancamagus. The roads were nice and empty on the western side of the White Mtns... until we got to Lincoln (the "Gateway" to the Kanc), then it was a traffic jam. So we retreated back into the secluded hills to the west and north. Stopped once for a photo - see below. The car handled the five hours of driving without any problems - which is important considering that cell phones don't often work up here in the North Country.
So, if anybody is thinking of coming up here for a foliage tour, here is my advice: 1) come soon. It looks like its just peaking now. And 2) try to make it on a weekday. Oh, and if you're bringing a coupe, give me a call.
