Morning all from the UK, my particular question applies to ALL E9 owners so please feel free to chip in with your views and opinions.
I have a 72 k reg E9 in Polaris silver, genuine 54k milage with 5 previous keepers. "Kieser" had a major resto in 2004 and have detailed photographs of the resto, all new floors, inner and outer wings, door skins,...ect...ect...it had the lot. I've upgraded the auto box to a dogleg 5 speed and the diff to a LSD, Both from a 1977 6 series, plus fitted a blaupunkt swans kneck cartridge CD player.
So apart from these few bits, the car is standard, but I fancy fitting a full CSL wing kit! I know this will upset the purists among us, but I fancy a change.
So, what do you chaps think? Ideas on what is good/bad?

Go for it....... @daddywad / UK has all the parts you’ll need to convert it to a Bat look a like.
Like Barry wrote, whatever turns you on!
You have the front spoiler already but I’d remove the chrome bumper if you are going all the way. Roof hoop, ducklip rear spoiler and large wing, all available from daddywad (he’s the only one with the rubber ends on the large wing). And ofcourse a fiberglass rear bumper.......
There’s a guy in Germany making exact repos of the front wind splits, fairly inexpensive too.
Show us the progress if and when you decide to make the changes :)

Cheers
Keshav

Beautiful car sir!

My only advice would be to find an extra boot lid while they are still in the $300 range. You will need to drill holes in the lid for the wing. The original lip spoiler also used screws but I’m not sure about daddywad’s.

Thank you for the replies chaps, some great points and contacts, I think I shall get a fibreglass bootlid for the wing kit as like you say, mint bootlids don't exist unless you have an open cheque book.
I shall post pics up when I start.

Totally personal decision. No right or wrong either way.

This being said, personally, unless this is going to be a track car, I would never add "boy racer" gadgets on a street car. It makes it look like it is pretending to be something it is not. To me a significant part of the appeal of the coupe is its understated elegance. Underpromise and over deliver.

But again, it is your car, so whatever floats your boat...

Frankly, I would start with the CSL air dam and end with the duck lip rear spoiler and call it a day. Purposeful and aggressive look on a street car without going over the top (jmho).

Those 850i 16” mesh rims look pretty good on a coupe. Surprised is not done more often.

Thank you Bert, the rims suit it quiet well I thought. The reg number is LYR100K so as a friend pointed out, putting batmobile bits on a cs carb coupe with a number that says lier look would be quiet apt.
I think the ducktail boot spoiler and front air dam will do for now.
