Feeling a bit sick

It'll be out of my hands soon.... but Im sure you will be seeing more of it shortly after!
 
Bidding ended at $8902. This seems sad and anomalous given the noises that have been made over coupe values but it was acknowledged the car has a bit of rust.

I could not say if anyone here is qualified to address such. I've asked one or another shops and they refused to recommend anyone to do rust repair. Everyone wants to do panel replacement for insurance companies, apparently.

Shipping to the mainland is close to $1100, BTDT.

I think someone got a great deal! If my life (and garage) wasn't so full right now I would have bid, swapped a few parts, and sold my coupe.

It definitely continues to exceed my expectations. I just want to drive it around for a bit, and yours is definitely in better shape on the outside. I just need to put some time into my car, which is tricky at the moment!
 
The adventure begins for me :-D. I was the winning bidder. After looking over the large amount of photos (several times at full resolution ) and talking to "2800cs" a couple of times this car sounded like it was what I was after (and as a bonus it was White with working AC) , and also fell within my initial budget ( I am sure we will see how that goes however I still have a couple BMW parts manager buddies so hopefully I can avoid paying retail). I was lucky also that one of the shipping companies docks in San Diego which will make it easier.

I have to say it is truly a pleasure dealing with "2800cs" and I look forward to taking over this car from him.

Congratulations ... hope you enjoy your purchase and bringing it up to what ever level you want to take it.

chronicle it here on the forum ... and ask questions when you need help. there are a LOT of fantastic people on this board.
 
Very cool. That extra three grand (excluding shipping) will go a long way over the 5K number your were throwing around earlier. This is the best looking sub $10K car that I've seen in the last 9 months.
 
Without firsthand knowledge of the car, this looks like a very reasonable deal for the buyer. Thorough disclosure and seemingly complete description.
