I finally got my rear spoiler assembly on ,I had many repairs to the original fiberglass piece ,and a couple of repairs to the rubber lip section . The assembly is fully removable , I made 4 new metal brackets and epoxyed them to the underside of the spoiler and drilled and tapped holes in each on either end i had a stud coming down through the lid , the studs were 4mm and the mounting nuts are visible on the underside of the lid , the axcess holes for the screws going into my brackets are hidden .Unfortunatly I put a chip in the top of the right quarter panel in the fitting process , Two steps foward one step back.

Hi Burky - I have what I believe to be one of the originals on my CSL. There was a discussion on mounting and positioning in a few different threads. Mine is mounted the original way with mounting screws through the lid. Understanding that is not for everyone, the fit comes next. They are nearly impossible to mount so they sit flush with the rear panel and tbh I don't think it was intended to be a perfect, flush fit. Having said all that, yours looks to be mounted quite a ways towards the rear of the car. By many observations I believe the "notch" in the lower spoiler corners are designed to be somewhat in alignment with the belt line trim. There is a bit of space there on your car. Still looks great but just thought I'd mention it as I've looked at this area, quite a bit.

Installation looks great..Can you point me to a supplier for the rubber element of this spoiler by chance?
I wrote to E9 Coupe King but got no answer??

+1 for Daddywad.

I have one of his rubbers on an original CSL duck tail and fitment is identical to original.
