Sometimes you learn something by disrupting something else. While reinstalling the speedo in the 3.0CSi, I noticed that, where there should be a bulb that plugs in behind the little arrows for the directional indicator, there's just a broken wire. Huh. So THAT's why, for 28 years, I've had no directional confirmation. I have a spare cluster with a spare wiring harness; I cut the wire and blub from it and soldered it into the car. Now I don't have to be that jerk doing down the highway with his blinker on.

Make that two jerks, I am landing at Logan today and will drive my rental with no blinkers in solidarity. Hope it is not too cold, I am a shorts type of jerk.

After:

--Replacing the tiny bulb in the center of my hazard switch

--Bending the tab on the ground spade connector that should mate to the center of the hazard switch but was being pushed back out

--Replacing the flasher relay with the one from the 2800CS I parted out 28 years ago

both the directional/hazard indicator light at the bottom of the speedo and the flashing light in the center of the hazard switch now work for the first time.

I could get used to this...

Just tell us locals where you get your inspection sticker so we can have an easy time of it!

your pelotas will freeze off
It should be well below freezing when you land!

Went to an Afghan joint in Cambridge and sat next to their clay oven...
What really hurts is my elbow from sticking my arm a gaziillion times to pay tolls.
What a rapacious state for motorists!
