FL: Dashboard Wood - $1200

No doors wood. And no middle lower wood that is mounted near gear shifter if someone have non A/C version.

The finish doesn't look like the original French walnut. That's OK if you want a darker, more custom look and it's certainly a bargain at $1,200. But not if you value originality. And as Markos points out, make sure that ALL the pieces are included. Matching your door pieces (not shown in the Craigslist ad) to this guy's dash pieces could be tough.

That door wood is available from home depot... a little work and it fits fine.
We can all thank our friend in Makawao for this.

yes, but soft pine is difficult to keep looking good. yes, you could stain it very dark and put some sheen on it with lacquer ... but it will dent easily and will be hard to match the dash.

It’s all veneer in the end. Burl.... French oak ... you name it it’s all veneer.

From Madera Concepts.....

Throughout their history, BMW has offered some very beautiful wood appointments in their vehicles. The wood found in the 2800 and 3.0 were fine examples of the early statements BMW was making with their woodwork and that tradition continues with the models BMW produces today.

Over time, the woodwork in any vehicle begins to show its age and we at Madera Concepts are proudly dedicated to doing our part in maintaining the BMW “Heritage” by helping you get the wood trim in your BMW looking “Showroom New”.
