It often happens that the control display in the instrument cluster for the turn signal flashes only once. This can be remedied if the stop for the coil is bent slightly. Over the years, this stop is "hammered" backwards slightly with each flash and the coil then no longer has the strength to attract the contact. First you have to pull off the black cover cap of the relay upwards, to do this bend up the small lugs next to the contact pins a little to the side. The yellow arrow points to the stop. (the small coil is for the indicator, the large one for the indicators)
To check whether the adjustment was sufficient, the relay can be plugged into the base without the cap. Only when everything works, put the cap back on and snap it in, then hang the relay back up vertically on the sheet metal bracket.
The relay can be found in all years of construction on a separately screwed sheet metal bracket on the steering column. It has a small sheet metal holder on the back which is inserted into the larger of the two holes in the sheet metal bracket.
