Hi Guys, I have a 72 RHD CSL that was my dads that I'm restoring. The car was stripped down in the late 1980's with a lot of the rusted sections cut away.

I have replaced the front floor pans and after the size and placement of the hole where the ECU cables come through the drivers floor pan.

Would someone be able to give me some measurement's and a couple photo's?

Also on the underside of the floor pans near the A pillars there is a flange that drops down to protect the brake cables.

I have seen this on the left hand side but the image below has them on both (see circled in red)

Which is correct?

thanks

Might be able to help. Have some pics of my resto somewhere.
Can you be a bit more specific what you need?

Do you need that?
Protect the fuel line, not the break line.
Break line runs through the tunnel.

If you need more, I got a lot pics of a almost original floor w/o paint

Hey Wes, any photos you have of the underside of you csl, around the A pillar area would be a great help.
Also photos from the inside of the drivers and passengers side floor pans towards the seat mounts.

Thanks

Thanks, thats a great help, and yes I meant the fuel line. Do you have some photos of the original right hand side of that section?

The original lay out is that on the bottom, just behind the wheels is a box that was intended to pull the body through the production line.
On the left side of the car, the also has a flap that protection the fuel line from flying stones.

On the right ide of the car it is a simple square box, no extra flange there as no fuel line.

Your picture showing 2 boxes with flanges (in your red circles) is a lay-out I've never seen before

2 flanges are wrong.
As Eric wrote, the sheet for fuel line protect is only on the left side.

Right side is a almost square with one side w/o up bend

Thanks for the help guys.

Would someone have a photo from the inside of the hole in the front floor pans where the ecu cables come through the chassis rail?

Yep, some dimensions and pics in this thread:

Post in thread 'WTB Bodywork cover' https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/wtb-bodywork-cover.45314/post-399333

....
The hole in the metal is shaped by 4 holes of 20mm, spaced 28 mm apart in one direction, and 68 mm in the other direction. On top of that, it has a 45 degree chamfer all the way around. The depth of the hole is 3mm

Thanks Erik. That’s super helpful. I have seen some with an oval hole, see image below. Would you know what shape hole a 72 RHD came with? Is there a hole above both RH and LH chassis rails

@Wes Are the floor pans in your csl original? would you have any photos of the right hand and left hand floor pans from the inside showing the ecu cable hole?

They are. If you need a better pic can walk out to shed and take one. Memory serves the cable enters the frame rail via a hole in engine bay and pops out that hole you see in front of where the seats mount.

Thanks Wes, a better photo of the cable hole would be a great help. Also one of the same spot on the left hand side if possible. Cheers

Went and had a look. Too dark for a good pic. This is exactly the same on CSi if anybody reading this has a pic on file.
